Romain Grosjean fought off three-time F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel, seven-time champion Michael Schumacher and eight-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen to secure the Race of Champions crown on Sunday.
The Lotus driver was pitted against multiple champions from various motorsport series at the 2012 edition of the RoC held in Thailand at Bangkok's Rajamangala Stadium.
The Frenchman, who's F1 future looks uncertain, beat Kristensen 2-0 in the final as they went up against one another in identical cars; first the RoC buggies and then the KTM X-Bows.
"It's a very good feeling - yesterday in the final, and then today winning," he said. "It's been a long time I haven't been on the podium actually. To come back at the top level is pretty good. Last year Sebastien Ogier was champion of champions, now myself: now we need to go for the Nations' Cup."
Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher took their sixth Nations' Cup crown on Saturday, beating the likes of David Coulthard and Andy Priaulx (Great Britain), Narain Karthikeyan and Karun Chandhok (India), Jorge Lorenzo and Kristensen (All Stars) among others.
