January memorial service for 'Prof' Watkins

The family of the late Professor Sid Watkins have confirmed a memorial service will be held in London on January 18th.
The 84-year-old played a pivotal role in improving the safety in Formula One and other motorsports and was appointed the sports medical delegate in 1978, up until 2004.
He also became the first president of the FIA Institute of Motor Sport Safety which continues to make improvements in the area of driver safety.
The memorial will be held at Marylebone Parish Church, 17 Marylebone Road, London, NW1 5LT on January 18, 2013 at 11:30am.
