Romain Grosjean will start the United States Grand Prix in ninth after taking a gearbox penalty.
The five-place demotion sees him drop from his qualifying position of fourth to ninth, promoting Kimi Räikkönen, Michael Schumacher, Felipe Massa, Nico Hulkenberg and Fernando Alonso a place each.
The French driver hit problems during final practice when he lost fourth gear forcing the team to replace his unit.
