Lotus is unlikely to debut its double-DRS during the Italian Grand Prix, meaning 'the device' won't been seen until the Singapore GP at the very earliest.
The team was forced to abandon the system, which stalls the rear-wing on a straight much like the F-duct from 2010, in Belgium because of the weather conditions during Friday practice.
Team principal Eric Boullier says its very unlikely it will be seen at Monza due to the nature of the circuit which is very high-speed and requires a low-downforce setup which would negate the impact of the DDRS.
"I am very confident we will not use it, because Monza is Monza. It is a different aero configuration," he confirmed.
Mercedes also looks set to debut its version of Lotus's device later in the season after it tested parts on Friday in Spa.
